APPLICATION NOTES:
- Substrate preparation: As soon as the concrete surface has reached the appropriate plasticity, but before starting the setting process, smooth the freshly poured concrete surface and level the floor surface with a compactor.
- Application:
– MC- Hardener 309 is hand sprinkled onto wet concrete and divided into 2 layers. The 1st layer is about 2/3 of the material and the rest for the 2nd layer.
– As soon as the concrete has evaporated, smooth the surface and sprinkle the first layer of MC-Hardener 309. Pay attention to sprinkle areas near doors, walls and columns… in these areas the concrete will dry faster.
– When the surface of MC-Hardener 309 is dark due to moisture absorption from the concrete surface and the concrete is hard enough to enter, use the trowel to rub the surface of MC-Hardener 309 at low speed with minimal blade tilt.
– After applying the 1st layer, sprinkle the 2nd layer immediately while the surface is still damp. Use a trowel to smooth the surface with high speed.
– Pay attention to adjusting the tilt of the trowel to create a smooth, glossy surface for the concrete surface. - Curing: The surface of MC-Hardener 309 after finishing rubbing must be cured immediately to avoid excessive water loss leading to surface cracking. Protect the sprinkled surface from walking and moving on.
- Cleaning: Use clean water to clean tools and equipment immediately after construction. When the product is solidified, it can only be cleaned by mechanical means.
- Safety information: Do not pour into water sources, sewers,… MC-Hardener 309 is an alkaline cement-based product, avoid contact with skin. When applying, it is necessary to wear gloves, goggles, and masks. If material gets into eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.
