- PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
➢ Mode of action: MC-Hardener 300 penetrates into concrete surfaces and forms with cement components silicate reaction surface, which cause an obvious reduction of porosity.
➢ Simultaneously MC-Hardener 300 is used for the curing of concrete on interior surfaces.

- APPLICATION NOTE:
➢ Substrate preparation:
– MC-Hardener 300 can be applied on concrete and screed, as soon as the surface is trafficable.
– When applying MC-Hardener 300 on existing or already used concrete surfaces, please note the information sheet of “General Application Advice for MC-Estripox – substrate and substrate preparation”.
– It is not allowed, that oil containing substances, e.g. separating agents, after treatment agents and oils stay back on concrete surfaces.
– After dedusting of the substrate the surface has to be pre-wetted. For this spraying pumps, e.g. MC-Spezialspritze, or hoses can be used. Avoid puddle formation!
– The application of MC-Hardener 300 can start after having matt damp surface.
➢ Application:
– Apply MC-Hardener 300 evenly (e.g. with MC-Spezialspritze spraying pump, short coat roller or directly poured out of the package), minimum 200 g/m².
– MC-Hardener 300 is easily worked into the surfaces, crosswise brushing, e.g. hard brush. The consumption and penetration ability of MC-Hardener 300 depends on the porosity of the substrate. If necessary apply in several working steps.
– After 20 – 45 minutes a soapy, slippery surface appears, the silicate reaction begins. During this reaction time the surface has to be kept wet, e.g. fogging with water without washing up the material. If MC-Hardener 300 is used as after-wet-treatment, the surface has to be kept wet for minimum 24 hours.
➢ Removal: To remove the soapy compound apply once more water on the surface, screed the surplus material with a rubber lip or wash it up with a water hose. Repeat this procedure until concrete has a matt finish and no slippery sites exists. If necessary take other actions of after treatments.
➢ Application on bond screeds: If MC-Hardener 300 is used to improve the tensile strength of bond screeds, we recommend to rough up the surface (e.g. shot peening) and to wait minimum one week before revision. MC-Estripox protect is used as bonding layer.
