- APPLICATION ADVICE:
➢ Consumption:
– Wooden formwork: ~20 – 30 m2/l
– Metal or plastic formwork: ~40 – 50 m2/l
– Consumption depends on absorption capacity, surface porosity, roughness, surface shape, variation in level or loss, etc. Actual consumption will be determined in site tests.
➢ Application of Ortolan Basic 761 :
– Surface preparation: All surfaces to be coated with Ortolan Basic 761 must be clean and free from oil, grease and old concrete.
– Apply a thin, even coat of Ortolan Basic 761 by brush, roller or spray equipment onto dry or damp formwork.
– Clean all tools and equipment used for application with solvent.
➢ Application remarks:
– Protect the newly applied Ortolan Basic 761 from rain.
– Formwork should be cleaned between applications and prior to application to avoid concrete from sticking to the formwork.
– Provide adequate ventilation when working in confined areas.
– Avoid open flames and other sources of ignition (e.g. welding) during application.
– Wear appropriate protective equipment during construction.
– Avoid allowing Ortolan Basic 761 to leak onto bare ground or into drains and waterways.
