- APPLICATION ADVICE:
➢ General: In practice, liquid curing agents are the only suitable solution for road constructions. The properties of concrete are determined by its formulation, application and hydration process. Premature dehydration due to high temperatures, low humidity and air movement can bring the hydration process to a halt and cause considerable quality degradation.
➢ Application methods:
– For vertical surfaces: After removing the formwork, moisten the entire concrete evenly with clean water. Allow the concrete surface to dry before applying Emcoril Protect M by spraying equipment or by brush (spraying is recommended to completely cover the surface). Note that the entire surface must be completely covered.
– For horizontal surfaces: Apply Emcoril Protect M by spray equipment immediately after the surface is finished, when all surface water has evaporated. Ensure that no water remains on the surface and apply the correct dosage recommended by the manufacturer for best results. For optimum performance, Emcoril Protect M should be applied as soon as possible after the concrete is ready for curing.
– For surfaces in direct contact: If the concrete is exposed to direct sunlight and high temperatures (above 23°C) or in areas with harsh dry winds, the concrete surface should be protected by covering it with plastic sheeting for 2-3 hours immediately after applying Emcoril Protect M to allow time for the crystalline film to form.
➢ Cleaning: Make sure the equipments are washed with clean water.
➢ Note: Avoid direct contact with the product during spraying (May cause skin irritation). The product can be completely washed off with water.
