Storage at higher temperatures may reduce the shelf life.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"102\"><strong>Precautions Health and safety<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"570\">Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or ingestion.<\/p>\n<p>Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling solvent vapors.<\/p>\n<p>Wear full protective gear, including gloves and safety glasses. If working in enclosed spaces, respiratory protection equipment is required. Use skin protective cream for added protection.<\/p>\n<p>If skin contact occurs: wash with plenty of clean water and soap.<\/p>\n<p>If eye contact occurs: rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>If swallowed: do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention immediately.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"102\"><strong>Fire<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"570\">MC-EP Primer and MC-Thinner are flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. In the event of fire extinguish with CO<sub>2<\/sub> or foam. Do not use a water jet.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"102\"><strong>Disposal<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"570\">Spillages of component products should be absorbed on to earth, sand or other inert material and transferred to a suitable vessel. Empty packaging should be in accordance with local waste disposal regulations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"102\"><strong>Additional information<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"570\">Technical notes regarding survey and preparation instructions for vinyl flooring installation are available. Please request them from your local MC office.<\/p>\n<p>MC manufactures a wide range of products specifically designed for the specialized flooring industry. These include chemical-resistant coatings, self-leveling epoxy coatings, and high-abrasion-resistant trowel-applied screeds.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHEMICAL PROPERTIES: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MC-Floor 1223<\/strong> exhibits excellent resistance at ambient temperatures to a wide range of industrial chemicals. Specific data are available upon request.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>INSTRUCTION OF USE:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u27a2 <strong>MC-Floor 1223<\/strong> should be applied by specialist applicators who must follow the procedures laid down in the product method statement. MC works with a network of such applicators that have been trained in the correct installation procedures. The construction process includes the following steps:<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 Surface preparation: It is essential that <strong>MC-Floor 1223<\/strong> is applied to clean, sound and dry surfaces in order that maximum bond strength is achieved between the substrate and the flooring system. All dust and debris should be removed prior to application of the product and its primer. Concrete or cement-based substrates must be at least 28 days old and have a moisture content not exceeding 5%. Laitance deposits on new concrete are best removed by by sandblasting, grinding, or appropriate roughening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u27a2\u00a0Mixing:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>MC-Floor 1223<\/strong> consists of three pre-measured components (substrate, hardener, and selected aggregate), which are ready for immediate on-site use. Part mixing of these components is not acceptable and will affect both performance and appearance of the finished floor.<br \/>\n&#8211; Mixing should be carried out using either forced action mixer or heavy duty, slow-speed drill with proprietary mixing paddle attachment. The components should be mixed in suitably sized vessel.<br \/>\n&#8211; Mix the resin component (Component A) in the container for 15-30 seconds, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Then add the hardener (Component B) and mix for another 30 seconds, until a uniform color and texture are achieved. After the resin and hardener components of <strong>MC-Floor 1223<\/strong> have been thoroughly mixed, the graded filler (Component C) must be slowly added to the mixture while continuously stirring.<br \/>\n&#8211; Continue stirring for another 3\u20134 minutes to ensure the mixture is completely homogeneous, free of lumps, and that the aggregate particles are evenly dispersed throughout the material.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u27a2\u00a0Application:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Ensure sufficient equipment, personnel, and materials are available to allow for continuous construction work on a given floor area.<br \/>\n&#8211; The material should be poured onto the prepared and primed substrate as soon as mixing is complete. It should be spread to the required thickness preferably using a serrated trowel; with care taken not to overwork the resin, spreading evenly and slowly.<br \/>\n&#8211; Immediately after laying, the material should be rolled, using a spiked nylon roller, to remove slight trowel marks, and to assist air release. The rolling should be carried out using a \u2018back and forth\u2019 technique along the same path.
