The substrate must be structurally sound and free from cement laitance, loose particles, dust, oil, grease and any other contaminants or old coatings which may affect the adhesion.<br \/>\n&#8211; Grind smooth all high spots and sharp protrusions.<br \/>\n&#8211; Surface defects such as voids, blowholes and static cracks must be repaired and refilled to prepare a sound surface for bonding.<br \/>\n&#8211; Horizontal substrates must have sufficient slope gradient to avoid water ponding.<br \/>\n&#8211; Metal surfaces must be rust-free and clean.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u27a2 <\/span><strong>Mixing:<\/strong> <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> is ready-to-use dispersion. Mix thoroughly with a low-speed mechanical mixer prior to application for homogenization.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u27a2 <\/span><strong>Application:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> can be applied with brush, roller or airless spraying equipment.<br \/>\n&#8211; For absorbent mineral substrates, primer can be applied by mixing <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> with 10% clean water at a usage rate of 0.2 &#8211; 0.3 kg\/m\u00b2.<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> should be applied with at least 2 coats crosswise. The waiting time for dry-touching of the coat is between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the ambient conditions and the thickness of the coat.<br \/>\n&#8211; At extreme areas such as corners, wall and floor conjunctions, or build-up systems, MC-Fast Tape or an appropriate glass fiber mesh should be immediately embedded into the first fresh coat.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u27a2 <\/span><strong>Precautious:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Don\u2019t apply <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> under rain or extreme weather.<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> should not be used in permanent contact with water. Roofing structures need to be designed at least 2% slope gradient.<br \/>\n&#8211; Ambient conditions and surface temperature must be under 35\u00b0C during the application.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u27a2 <\/span><strong>Protection and curing:<\/strong> Full cure of <strong>MC-Proof DF 8<\/strong> waterproofing system is approximate 14 days after the final coat. However, water tightness tests may be carried out after 7 days.
